Dear Newgroup Readers,

I had some mathematical text with a lot of < and > but copying that into the Wiki always gave the HTML source code on the page. Removing the < and > gave plain text as I wanted! < and > are also important HTML symbols somehow the Wiki cannot handle them. Peculiar thing: The HTML/Text module handles them with no problem. At first I thought the Wiki editor has the same functionality but that seems to be not the case.

I thought you should know!

Kind regards,

Johan van der Galien

Hi Johan,

try using the escape characters < → < (less-than sign) > → < (greater-than sign). So your line would be < and >

Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Character_encodings_in_HTML might help.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
