This is a curiosity question…

I am new to DotNetNuke and over the past week, I have been installing and blowing up my DNN 5.0 website, and then reinstalling on my Hosting Company space. (I have done DNN 4.x installs at home, where I have more control.)

Over the years, I have used many website publishing packages, BBEdit, FrontPage, GoLive, HomeSite, ColdFusion, Dreamweaver, and most recently, I have taken Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition for a test drive…

In my recent site installations, I have been using both Dreamweaver (CS3) and MSVWD, and have witnessed different handlings/speeds of FTPing (put/get/delete) between the two…

My question is this (and not to start a “war”), but what are other folks using?

Again, just curious…

Andrew

Filezilla.  To deploy and manage a site you have no need of a development tool.

Hi Andrew,

I have been using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX though it's old but I'm still happy with it. Then I would upload the files to Filezilla Client at the local host and download them to the remote host.
