I have installed DNN 4.9.2 (the fresh release) on Windows XP Pro with SQL Server 2005 Standard.

There are no other pages or skins other than the installation setup.

When I attempt to setup a child portal using the DotNetNuke template (there are no others installed) I get the following error.

###########################################

Error parsing Admin TemplateProcedure or Function 'AddTab' expects parameter '@PermanentRedirect', which was not supplied. ########################################

When I click on the homepage and view the Host > Portals page, the child portal is shown as setup, but without the Portal Alias.

I've reinstalled another clean installation with a new DB and the same problem persists. I've also tried it in a live envirnoment with the same results.

So I was wondering is this a bug ? Or have I over looked something ?

  • is your DNN installation on localhost, in a virtual Directory or IIS website?
  • did you use refreshed DotNetNuke 4.9.2 package, which corrects an issue with default portal template.

if the issue persists, please log into the public issue tracker (2nd from top) at support.dotnetnuke.com

Sebastian,

DNN installation was on a local system running from 192.1.1.254 not localhost, all of the test sites where IIS, the live site was Server2003 with SQL Ent 2005 and IIS 6. The local sites where WinXP Pro with SQL Ent 2005 and IIS 5.1.

All had ASP.net ver 2.1 and ASPAJAX installed.

None where in Virtual Directories and yes we used the refreshed package of 4.9.2.

All the folder and execute permissions where correct and working.

We gave up on the 4.9.2 installation and I seen no point putting this in the tracker if the core team are moving on to concentrate on Ver. 5

We will stick with 4.9.1.

Anyways, thanks for your help.

I  have he same problem om Dotnetnuke 5.1.1 on a remote host. I have tried both upgrading and a clean install of 5.1.1, but the problem remains.. Anybody else having this problem?

You're having the same problem, with the same error log, on a completely different version of DotNetNuke six months after the original thread was posted?  Don't think you'll solve that one.  But if you started a new post, with complete details, I think you'll find a fix.  Of course, it won't be the exact same problem, but I doubt you'll care, if your issue gets fixed.Jeff
