I've installed DNN website on a couple of servers now and used the export template method and even marked the "include content feature", and upload the files to production server EXACTLY as I have them in dev mode, but I  always have to put all the info and diagram things back again.

Isn't there a way to export the website from local dev mode to production with the exact same info and appearance?

Thanx.

This will work ONLY if all of the modules in your site support export/import of data.

The easiest way, in my opinion, would be to backup and restore your dev site (files and db) over your production site. Be sure to configure your Portal Aliases before you do this though.

You mean, backup and restore through SQL server management studio?

Yes, but you would likely do a backup of your file system as well if you've made any module installation or file uploads.
