I have some general questions that I would like to pose that I cannot seem to find on the website.

1. We have 3 websites in IIS, we only want to use DotNetNuke with one of them. How do you setup DotNetNuke to do this?

2. We assume that DotNetNuke needs to be setup on the web server where our Websites and IIS is configured. Two of our Web Servers are in a DMZ and have to communicate with our SQL servers through a Firewall. What port does DotNetNuke use to communicate through a Firewall to contact our SQL Servers.

3. Is DotNetNuke a High Process app? What we need to know is will it kill our websites while it is running?

Please let me know as soon as possible so we can make a decision on how and where to install this app.

1. Simply configure a folder for DNN and then point that one website to this folder.

2. DNN communicates with SQL over the standard ports for SQL server.

3. It shouldn't kill your websites, though you can easily bring a server to it's knees by installing a bunch of modules that you don't need. Only run the modules you need in DNN and it will perform well.

Thank you for the quick response. CAn you be more specific on the ports? I found the following listing of ports the SQL Server uses and I want to make sure that we open the proper port for DotNetNuke: 135, 443, 500, 1433, 1434, 2383, 2382, 4022, 4500.

DNN is no different than any other ASP.NET application, so however your other apps are configured should work for DNN. I believe that the default TCP port is 1433
