Hi All,

Is there anyone who has used xmod3 or 4 out there? Someone must have used it or know something about it...

It sounds like a good app...but is it really?

Thanks

Speaking for version 3, it is a good app but comes with a learning curve. If all you want to do is build simple forms, store the data, and retrieve the data, it works very well. For more complex forms, you might be better off building your own modules. What the product really needs is a form & template designer to speed up developement.

Check out the xmod forums at www.dnndev.com . This will at least give you a sense of some of the capabilities of xmod. Also worth noting about xmod is the excellent support from the developer.

I have used ver 3 and have found it good to whip up data store and display 'apps'. Just read the help file and start small.
ech01 is right though about the support from the developer.
The developer site also has some links to sites that are using it such as marinapal.

I am using Xmod 4.  Definately has a learning curve, but what doesn't.  It is really easy to learn but there is just so much.  I find that I spend a lot of time saying, "I want to do X", but how do I do it.  XMod does it, I just have to find the right control.

In XMod 4 there is a very quick form designer.  You don't have much control on the layout, but you can whip a form up in next to no time.

I recommend it.  Plus everytime I have posted in their forum I get a response within a few hours.
