Hi All,

We've got a legacy site written in Classic ASP, and we're looking at different CMS options for a site overhaul.

I've used DotNetNuke in the past, and it may work, but one thing that I haven't been able to figure out is if there's a module (or some other way) to do version differencing.

We want our staff to be able to send content revisions over to our editor, and for the editor to be able to quickly see what has changed in the document. This is the sort of thing you might use WinMerge, or MS Word's "track changes" feature to do.

Is there any way to do this with DNN and some module? I've looked and haven't been able to find anything that offers version differencing. Also, does anyone recommend an alternative CMS that would do this? It doesn't need to be ASP.NET or free, although we'd really like it to be ASP.NET. We're running on Windows/IIS.

I am not aware of a module, which offers this feature, but it shouldn't be too difficult to add it to one of the existing CMS workflow modules, inclding free open source Effority Text/HTML workflow module in the forge (see icon above).

What would you use to detect the differences?  I don't know of any .NET libraries for doing differencing of HTML fragments.  Or differencing of any two bits of data, actually.

This is what you're referring to?
