Ok, but the file perms are set to Everyone with Full Control - would the Owner (Admin) make a difference?

Thanks for letting me know about the email issue - can you try and resend it and let me know here if you have the same problem? I have checked my mail server and everything seems to be ok..

Without the sourcecode to his compression function, it's hard to tell. I'm pretty sure SharpLib doesn't write to a temp folder by default. I've got a similar backup module I wrote that you're welcome to try. It's free, and hasn't been tested on 4.9.2... I've run it on about a dozen 5.0 sites, you could even setup a 5.0 development site and have it backup a 4.9.2 install (which I have tested)...

I'd also be happy to troubleshoot any problems you might have with my backup module...

Hi Oliver,

I would like to try your backup module please - I want to see if it has the same perms issues as it might help me narrow down the problem. How do I d/l? (email rod at smart-thinker. com
