Hi

Logo.gif exists in 4 different locations in dnn folder. I had put my website's logo with this same name to replace default dnn logo. my website's logo was coming properly.

But While creating 2nd portal(child) in my local dnn, instead of mapping it's virtual directory to working dnn folder, i mapped it to copy of working dnn folder. When i ran the local portal, my website's logo got replaced by default dotnetnuke logo automatically.

After reverting the mapping of virtual directory of 2nd portal to working dnn folder, i could access both portals, but dotnetnuke default logo is coming instead of my website's logo(even though logo.gif image in 4 different locations inside working dnn folder is my website logo and not dnn's logo)

Even after clearing cache and deleting temporary internet files, default dnn logo is coming and not my website's logo(default dnn logo is not present in working dnn folder.only my website's logo is present in working dnn folder)

Any suggestions or solutions.pls reply asap.

Thanks,

Swaminathan

there is no need for a file with a specific name or location. Simply go to site settings in admin menu and select the file you like (upload option included)

Hi

In one of my 2 portals(child portal) i did exactly what you said and portal logo is coming.

Now i am facing a different problem in my 2nd portal(parent portal).

In my second portal, under site settings of admin, against logo settings and body background settings, following message is displayed.

You don't have permission to see the files on the site.

Viz. No upload option or dropdownlist to choose any files. simply above message is shown. Hence for this portal no logo comes.

In this parent portal there is no upload options for any icons either. same above message is displayed against these icons. (this problem is onty coming from today. till yesterday logo and icons were coming perfectly)

Any suggestions or solutions. Please reply asap

Thanks,

Accepted Answer

please go to File Manager in Admin menu of the portal, in upper right corner perform a recursive sync. Next, for the root folder at the bottom of the page adjust and save the permissions.
