I'm thinking about adding video to one of my sites.

I want users and anonymous visitors to be able to comment on the video, but I do not want it to link back to a site like youtube.  I also don't want to use my server to store/display the videos, but can use it to display the video.

I am thinking about buying Ultra Video Gallery 3  module and a subscription to Vimeo plus.

Ideally, I want to be able to upload videos to Vimeo or another service, but have them displayed only on my site.

Does purchasing Ultra Video Gallery 3 and a Vimeo plus subscription sound like the best solution?

Is there a youtube pay version? I couldn't find one.  What about google video or other suggestions on how to best implement this.

Anyone with experience? Please share thanks

I can't comment on Ultra Video Gallery 3 as I have never used it but can comment that I've been very pleased with Vimeo when I've used their standard (rree) account for a few (non-DNN) projects. Vimeo is one of the very few video sharing sites that places no rediculously severe restriction on the program length or file size (500 MB uploads per week for standard or 5GB for Vimeo Plus). Uploads of both SD and HD content have been reasonably (for a cable modem connection) quick and playback has been smooth. With the Plus account, you should also be able to hide your video from being viewable on the Vimeo site itself. Do take a look at their terms of use - particularly those limiting use to personal or non-profit organization video, no commercials, etc.

I've used UVG 3 and I personally think it's great.  It's very well supported and really allows you to add very professional video functionality to DNN.  I have not used Vimeo before so I can't really comment, but I am a little curious about it now so I might give it a try.

UVG 3  is solid and slick. Well worth the money.
