Hi Guys

Shouldn't there be a ASP.NET version 3.5 inside the IIS manager to select when you have installed the .Net framwork 3.5 ? I cannot find one on my server and framwork3.5 is installed?

Hi Johan,

Unlike previous versions, .NET 3.5 is not a standalone framework capable of operating independently, but rather is an extension of the .NET 2.0 libraries.  As such, it will not appear in IIS as a "selectable" option.

To use .NET 3.5, select the 2.0.x version in the dropdown; so long as you have the 3.5 libraries installed on your system and have configured your web.config to use those libraries, you will have access to everything you need.  Visual Studio can do all of this for you.

A bit confusing, eh?
