I'm interested in this statement.  AFAICT there is NO documentation, or programming guides, for the core API's.  It would seems that one picks them up via intellisence or reading the source code.  If I am wrong I, for one, would LOVE to know where those docs are.

If I am right how do you encourage anyone to do anything beyond hack about until they think their code works?

Best wishes,

Hi - what's the issue number in Gemini?  I had a look but I can't seem to find it.

Is there any workaround to this problem?  Currently I can't use the map module at all (as I'm using DNN 5.0.1) and am having to use an old copy of bi4ce map module instead.

Hi Matt,

You can find the issue here. It's actually been fixed already but unfortunately this won't help you as I don't think it'll be released until DNN Version 5.1.0 comes out.

I've actually tried coding a temporary fix myself in the Map module to help everyone out, but although I can build the modules successfully, uploading them to my server stopped the Map Module from rendering. I don't know if there's a procedure I need to follow here to replace a Module's DLLs for testing. Can anyone help me and let me know if there's something else I need to do other than replace the DLLs? If there is nothing else I should be doing, then I'll need to work a bit harder to figure out why it breaks my Map!

Sean

uploading DLL shall be sufficient, but you need to make sure to use same version of MAP version and same or less version of DNN framework than installed on the server. HTH

Doh! That helped me realise what I've done wrong. Thanks for the reply Sebastian.

I built the Map Module DLL against the 5.0.1 source and then uploaded it to my 4.9.2 site. That won't work!! That's what you get for working late at night...

I'll try again and do it properly this time!

Sean
