 Hi,

I tried to install the 'DotNetNuke_Community_05.00.01_Source' and configured in IIS Server [O/s is Win XP]. it gives me an error like the following.

Line 50:             Dim config As ProviderConfiguration = ProviderConfiguration.GetProviderConfiguration(_ProviderType)
Line 51:             ' Register the default provider first (so it is the first component registered for its service interface
Line 52:             InstallProvider(container, DirectCast(config.Providers(config.DefaultProvider), Provider))
Line 53:
Line 54:             ' Register the others
Source File: D:\DNN\DNNSource\Library\ComponentModel\ProviderInstaller.vb    Line: 52

And moreover i tried to run the application from my Visual Studio 2005, it says the following error'

'Unable to start debugging on the web server. Debuggin failed because integrated windows authentication is not enabled'  However i have given the authentication , still i could not able to run the application from the visual studio.

Please hlpe me out from this crisis.  As i desperately needed the guidance.

Thanks

Sudha

You haven't actually posted what the error is.  My guess is something like 'object not set'.  My guess for the cause is that you are either missing part of the install from your server, or you have the web.config file configured incorrectly.

As you're running an install and have never had it working, the solution in both cases is to start again on a new installation, and make sure you double check each step of the way.

W/Regards to not being able to debug on your machine, you need to set up the windows authentication correctly.  I would search general asp.net information on the internet for this error, it's related to your website/workstation permissions rather than DNN.

And check your file permissions are the same from top to bottom (child objects).

Thank you Mr.Brucee Chapman,

I have have successfully installed the dnn server in my machine and it runs very fine.

when i started working on source code from visual studio, then it gives me an errror like the above one.

I have well configured my web.config file even though it gives me an error while doing debugging / browsing thru IE 'http://localhost/Dotnuke_Camgrian'.

Thanks,

Sudha
