I am using asp.net version 2.0 and sql server 2005 and I have already installed DotNetNuke_Community_04.09.03_Install.zip and performed the necessary configuration. Everything is fine because I can be able to see the dotnetnuke install page through localhost on my web browser. The problem arises on the next page when I receive an error 26- error connecting to server(as below).

I have enabled remote connections on sql server and made the appropriate exception changes on windows firewall.Could the configuration of asp.net 2.0 on my machine be the problem? Please help, I need to get out of this mess to proceed.

read the text "When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections"

Besides make sure, that both SQL server and client software do support TCP/IP protocol and you specify valid login.
