The DotNetNuke forums aren't designed for third party module support.  Please log your support requests at the module support forum at http://www.ifinity.com.au/Product/Support_Forums/

It's most likely that you have forgotten to enter the UrlRewrite entry in the <system.webserver> section and you're running IIS7, but please post at the forum I'll answer your query there.

regards

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

I opened above link but I found  "Resource Not Found" error.

Can you please provide me the working support forum where I can share my problem?

Thanks in advance,

Ashish Shukla

- Url Master only needs special access if you want to switch off the .aspx extensions : which is the same for the Frienldy Url Provider as well.  You don't need special access to your hosting environment to use 99% of the features, and Url Master will run just fine on shared hosting platforms.

Hi, Bruce-
I'd recently (within the past three months or so) run the latest URL Master trial version on a new site in a shared-hosting environment and *thought* I ran into more than one feature I was unable to enjoy due to the restricted environment.  I'll second-guess myself on that point, though, since I trust that you know your product far better than I do plus I now can't recall which specific feature(s) were seemingly unavailable besides the ability to drop the file extension.  That site did not require the use of URL Master -- I installed the trial just to give the module a test run under that particular hosting provider before I began work on the site.  As expected, the module installed, ran and uninstalled without a hitch (DNN 4.9.2).

I think the module is fantastic and does much to help DNN/IIS admins reach a fine level of control -- similar in many respects to the level of control enjoyed by (knowledgable) Apache admins.  If DNN Corp were ever to fuel DNN advancement by buying up the rights to certain modules, URL Master would be one of first modules I'd wish to see incorportated into the core.

Cheers!

Sorry about that : typing error http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/Support_Forums

The only feature you need admin access for is to change the page extension handling when you're using IIS6.  Everything else can be completely handled within the user interface.
