PowerDNN.com clearing DNN loggs every 24 hours? Does this mean you have to have you have another stat module that they provide that i sdoing the same job?Tehy have this option of Google apps .... but do you get full statistics then ? I mean if the loggs are cleared then I will have difficulties seeing the DNN users and how they behave .... Google analytics gives me a lot of stat but not exactly my DNN user behaviour? I'd like to ask PowerDNN .com customer about this to hear their point of view about how good the stat are and what option they select when using powerDNN.com as their ISP

anyway I have signed up on a site to do some testing to find out what they are all about those PowerDNN.com people .... so far I haven't seen any of these tremendeous support customers here are talking about .... but I will give them some more time .... there seem to be a limit with number of domains you can use? I have planned to use a IDN domain wich in real life means that I must use 2 domains ... one for the web and a slightly different one for email purpose .... this seem to make a problem ....

Johan-

I'm sure someone else will prbably respond as well, but I just wanted to let you know that we do clear DNN logs as part of DNN optimization. This is also documented in our knowledgebase. You can definitely opt-out of this, just open up a support ticket and we'll get that taken care of for you.

I just thought I'd give you the heads up.  Thanks.

I see ... just a thought... what if one just moved the logg to another table ... would this help the performance and still let the stats be there? I mean one needs of course a modified module to access the stats as they are put exported to another table ... would this help or will there be the same negative effects because you save data? .... what does the performance bottle neck consist of?

I run PokerDIY on a dedicated server at PowerDNN and I have explciitly turned off all site logging - this saves on read/write operations. It's a shame as you are right, there is some beneficial user behaviour info that could be gleaned but I think Analytics suffices.
