Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone can recomend a module that can be used by an admin to create work hour schedules for staff. Staff then can use a dashboard to see their schedules based on URL query string UserId. And it must be 5x compatible. There is a module on snowcovered that does this but only for 4x and I can not get an answer from the developer as to when a 5x version will be ready.

Thank you all for sharing your suggestions

Mark

But why is DNN 5x som important .... I am mot planning my cutomers go go over to DNN5 until next year ... DNN 4.9 works just fine and stability is the most important for me .... is there any killer app implementation in DNN5x that I don't know about?

The name of the module is Adverageous Daily Planner.

The reason that DNN 5x is so important is;
1) DNN 5x has some cache issue fixes which preforms nearly 75% better on my server environment
2) DNN 5x allows you to add what were until now Admin only module such as NewsLetters, User Manager, Vendor Manager etc.

The latter is a key feature I need for a new management portal I am building where a client can order an as is copy of the app. So I do not wish to give admins full admin control over their portal to the extent that a true DNN administrator has. so I can create a Faux Admin account by creating a user role and allowing them use of modules I specify. Makes things easier and can help prevent a non-dnn savvy client who wants a portal from tearing things apart by accident.

So in my case DNN 5x is the most cost effective solution for what I am trying to accomplish...or I could go out and buy a newsletter mod, user manager mod and so on for DNN 4x... know what I mean?

Ok, there is a large performance issue after all with the new DNN5x .... have you verified that is it this much faster ? you have benchmarked it properly ? .... if there is such an advantage with DNN5x over DNN4 when it comes to admin user rights then there must be a hustle with upgrading existant DNN4 I guess
