The latter is a key feature I need for a new management portal I am building where a client can order an as is copy of the app. So I do not wish to give admins full admin control over their portal to the extent that a true DNN administrator has. so I can create a Faux Admin account by creating a user role and allowing them use of modules I specify. Makes things easier and can help prevent a non-dnn savvy client who wants a portal from tearing things apart by accident.

Mark,

please be aware, that most of the admin modules haven't been enhanced yet to provide improved configuration of security, e.g. allowing the admin to limit sending newsletters to specific roles only.

I am aware of the limitations of Newletter module and in my case I wish to allow the faux admin the ability to send to any role, but I want to limit the admin from creating new roles so thus for this particular project I am working on DNN 5x is the best solution. I am sure it may not be for many others but in my specifc case it is. let us leave it be at that since the topic of this thread is being diluted. I started this thread looking for a DNN 5x compatible module not a debate over why DNN 5x is better or worse than 4x

my apologies for the frankness of that statement.

If anyone knows a good scheduling module for DNN5x I would very much appreciate your suggestions

Good day Mark,

We have several calendar based modules that could be modified or written to do what you need in DNN 5.  Please contact me at 250-591-2631 or email sales AT kodhedzsoftware.com to discuss.
