 Hello All,

On my site, I have a text / html module that appears on all pages.  In the module, we have pasted a number of gif images, that work well.

One of our advertisers just asked whether we can report  on how many click have occured on his gif.

I do have logging running on the site, and it works well, do I do not see how I can report on the clicks that have occured for that one gif.

Two questions

1) Is it possible to report on that now, without having anticipated the need for this report

2) If I cannot report with hindsight, is there any way to report on the clicks he is getting in the future.

thanks in advance,

This is not supported by any rich text content.

you should use a link list module like "Links" or find a  different solution.

Assuming that there is a link (url) behind the gif, and it is some type of banner advertisement, there's a couple of options for you.

1. Create a linkcclick handler for the link.  This is pretty easy to do manually   something like /LinkClick.aspx?link=http://www.theirsite.com&tabid=xx&mid=yy

That's from memory, but if you create a tracked link in a links module somewhere, you can use the same syntax.  Just look up the moduleid and tabid for the tab/module you're putting the link in.  The clicks will be logged to your tracking tables.

2. Use an external link click tracking tool.  I distribute a google analytics tool for DNN, and it has in-built external link clicks tracking built in, so you can see the links clicked from your site to their site in your regular Google Analytics segments.  The Analytics module is available from http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/Google_Sitemap_For_dnn

Hope this helps
