I need to know how to get a link to a users profile in code. I am creating a Headlines module and I want to have the username in a posted by field so that everybody knows who posted the article. I have the current users name, but need to know how to link to the profile.

 Hi, andyb12-
What are you intending to use to view a user's profile?  The built-in user profile module is coded to display the logged-in user's profile (and allow that user to edit his/her info).  It doesn't allow regular users to view other user's info.

You *could* route your link to a page with some sort of user directory module (like this one) but you'll be at the mercy of the module as to how you can link, what you can display, etc.

One possible approach would be to create your own "display profile" page and use a SQL module to query and display whatever user profile info you wanted based on a passed querystring USERID variable.  The current version of the REPORTS module does not support querystrings but the free SQLView module does.

Hope that helps-
