Hi,

The version of dnn 5.0.1 is recommended for production environment?? i want to update my dnn portal to 5.1.0 but i don't find a OracleDataProvider for this version and the latest oracleadataprovider is for 5.0.1. Is recommended for production or not ?

You should wait for 5.1.1 (out soon). This version looks really promising. Otherwise you can use 4.9.4
Not sure about Oracle other than to say it's not bundled with DNN, but a simple google brought this up:

You should contact the third party vendors about 5.1.1 compatibility.

Hi Alex, thanks for your help.

What happens with the 5.1.0 version? it is not recommended for production environment?, because i had thought update my portal to this version. Really this page that you show me is my actual thrid party vendor for my portal version 4.4.1, but they do'nt have yet the latest dataprovider for oracle (v5.1.0) the latest version is 5.0.1 for that i asked for this version.

It depends on your use case, check out the change log  /road map for DNN 5.1.0 and 5.1.0, whether you may want to use 5.0.1

DNN Pro is on 5.1.0 so it has a seal of approval. Don't upgrade to any earlier 5.x version. However if you want a much easier ride you might want to take my tip.... 5.1.1 is out soon (don't know exactly when though).

If it was me I'd upgrade to 4.9.4 and then upgrade to the latest version of 5.1.x when your third party is ready to support it. Lobby them.

Don't forget to back up when you upgrade.
