Our company distributes  press/news releases to the local media every couple of days.  I am looking for the best way to publish this news to our DNN sites.  I bought (unfortunately) Simple News, but it is anything but, simple.

Does someone have thoughts on the best core module for this task?  All we need is text distribution.  I tried setting up a blogger.com account and doing it there and then bringing it back to the site using RSS, but that doesn't seem to work?  I wish there was a way to use a mainstream blog site to do the intial distribution and then publish it with our site in a list form and the ability to read the entire news article / post.

Any thoughts on how we should handle this?  We have no problem spending money on modules, but we need something easy, because we are dealing with staffers that would be responsible to publish that aren't techs.

Hi Dave,

I might also add that you can make the Ventrian New Articles even a little easier to use with a little work on your part up front.  There is a free version of itcMetaPost available on Snowcovered as well as a more featured paid version.  With this you can easily setup MS Live Writer for your users and they can do all of their work locally and just publish it without having to know any connections, etc.  It works great.  MS Live Writer is also free!
