We've run DNN 5.1.1 in production for one week now. It seems to be very stable and performant.

Hi Alex

That is helpful.

DotNetNuke is stable... but there are issues (of course) so try on a local machine first.

I also got this clarification from PowerDNN: "We have experienced a much greater rate of issues when upgrading people from 4.X.X to 5+ due to incompatibilities with custom/third party modules and I feel that it is our duty to warn our clients of this."

My particular problem is a simple one. I have a naively simple module - merely a list and an edit screen - copied from a Michael Washington tutorial. It works like  a charm in 5.1.1 except the screen heading (Edit...) is missing. Now is that a DNN problem or a problem with my custom module? Should I rewrite it somehow (and where do I find out what to change?) - or wait for 5.2.2?

Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Geoffrey

Geoffrey - I'm afraid I have no idea. Anything I would say here would be mere speculation. I would suggest you contact Michael or search for an alternative module that does something similar.

Also are you sure this isn't anything to do with the skin container?

Geoffrey, did you enter an entry for your edit key to app_resources? Otherwise your module simply suffers on DNN-10513

Hi Stefan

Yes, that looks like my problem. So it is not minor for me.

I do hope someone is assigned to it for 5.1.2.

This is what forums are all about!

Thank you very much.

Kind regards

Geoffrey
