I've just downloaded and installed v5.

I have a version 4 book ('Professional DotNetNuke 4).

Is it advisable to get a version 5 book ?

Cheers

Steev

The simple answer is yes. I did bought the 5 book since it is quite different and I felt that If I want to have a good grip of it I should have this book too.

Thanks for the reply but sorry I am a little confused - you are saying that a v4 book is useful for v5 software but also say there are a lot of changes.

If I only have a v4 book will I struggle to use v5 software ?

Thanks

steve,

yes, there have been changes, especially regarding testability of controls and packaging, but, in general, the API to be used is still the same.

Steve, what I meant was that you can use the V4 book and work with DNN 5 but if you're a power user and want to understand things thorughly you should have the V5 book since you'll meet many things that need to be cleared.
