We are having page issues since we upgraded to the latest DNN version 05.01.02 (51)

When I add a sub page under a main menu item the page creates fine but it essentially is the same page as the main menu item under which it was created, including the content. I use none specified for the template and am not copying any modules from any pages. Furthermore it only shows up as a sub menu item whenI am logged in. This only happens sometimes.

If I create a main menu item it takes on the Home page as itself including the content.

We are running URL master version 1.14.11
I have tried every cache setting including no cache and I have cleared cache via host settings. This did not work.

Anothr strange thing is that this is only is happening on portals created after the upgrade. The old portals are not having any issues with page creation.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanx!!!

You're not hitting Copy page are you instead of new page?

You might want to go into the settings for the page and tweak them.

Make sure that Include in Menu is checked, along with inherit permissions (unless you need to turn them off)

Also make sure that you've set All Users to view access.

Just some ideas for you to look at.

Hi Brian

For Url Master related problems, please use the product support forum at http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/Support_Forum

Generally if you request a child page and you get the same content as the parent page, it's because the child page wasn't found (ie parent/child.aspx)  - what is happening is that the child page can't be found, so the software assumes you mean the parent page with a querystring of &child (which is perfectly legal).

The reason you would be having this issue is because the page index isn't getting rebuilt when you create the new page.  This could be for a variety of reasons - it may be because of an older value in the 'triggerDictionaryRebuildRegex', or it could be something related to an upgraded version of the software.

Please continue this request on the Url Master support forum and I'll endeavour to help you work it out.
