I'm pulling what little hair I have left out of my head. About 5 days ago I started getting weird errors when pulling my DNN site up in IE 7 or 8. In some cases, the DNN page will render but the words "Access Denied" appears in IE's status bar. When I click on the status bar icon I see that it's a javascript issue. The message is OBJECT REQUIRED Line 53 Char 3. Hmmm. When I pull up the View Source window I see this at line 53:

//<![CDATA[

At least one page refuses to render at all

I'm running DNN 5.1.4 on Windows 2003 (IIS 6) against an SQL 2000 database.

Has anyone else seen this? Any clue what I can even look for?

gpe

it is difficult to guess the cause of the error, does it happen on a page with default skin as well?

are you running a new site, created on DNN 5, or is it an upgraded installation?
