Somehow I have inadvertently pointed my login screen back to my home page instead of to the login area.  I am now unable to login to the portal I have created.  Now no matter where you go to within the site the login screen always takes you back to the home page instead of displaying the login.  Is there anyone to fix this?

I did the same thing once.  You have to go in the database to change the value of the Login page tabid.  If I remember correctly, you have to open the 'Portals' table and change back the value of 'LoginTabId' to whatever it's suppose to be.

Sorry if I can't be more precise, but it's been a while.

Maybe someone can tell us if this is actually the right value to change, and to what it has to be changed to.

At least, it's a start in where you should look at.

Just delete the entry in that field and it'll be back.

That doesn't help me.. I set the "LoginTabID" to NULL already... it still doesn't work... The Login link still point to http://xxxxxxx/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx shouldn't it be http://xxxxxx/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx ?

Thanks

Hi there,

I think it because it is being cached. Just modify the web.config and upload it to your site. It should restart the application and clearing all cached data
