Hi,
I have been developing numerous dnn sites for clients and using a a reliable web hosting company in America. They have been very helpful and I have enjoyed the fact that I have had no trouble with them.
However, it has reached a point were I have thought about setting up my own dedicated server to host my client projects. With the amount of money that I pay the hosting company for the service I beleive I could successful maintain my own server and make the money myself.
Although this topic is not within the scope of these forums I was wondering if anyone could offer me advice on what I would need to do.
If you could point me in the direction of some resources that offer constructive advice and suggestions I'd really appreciate it.
Also, if any of you could summarise in general what I would need for hardware and software for a complete solution, that would be greatfully appreciated to understand what I may be getting involved with.
In short I have a place where I can "plugin" my server to the web, all I need is the box or boxes.
I brielfy looked at the spec of a Dell Poweredge 6850.
Regards,
Colin
