Six months ago I set up a 4.09.04 site and it has worked fine since then.  Now it gives this error message on all pages:

Could Not Load Container: /Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/Title_Red.ascx

I am the only one with admin access, so I know no changes were made.  I cannot access the event viewer.  It is on a hosting service.  I have asked them if changes to the envirnment were done that could have this effect.

Any ideas?  I have googled a bunch but can't seem to find a lot.  There is an insinuation that the module was compiled in asp.net 1.1 and the environment is 2.0.  Is that plausible?  FYI, I am not a developer.

A few things.

1) If your event log does not come up, try truncating the EventLog table, then going back to the site, hopefully detailed error information will be logged.

2) Validate that the file path referenced still exists on the file system for your portal.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that was the first thing I did- make sure that file path is correct and the files are still there.  They are.

Not sure how to truncate the table.  I'm using a host, aso I can export the MS SQL db, but that's about it.

Hi,

please check this container file exists or not  " /Portals/_default/Containers/MinimalExtropy/Title_Red.ascx"

The file is indeed there.

I upgraded to 5.02.01 and that seems to have fixed it.  I didn't want to do that, since I am not a developer, but we'll see how this holds up.
