Hi,

I am looking for a DotNetNuke news module which is able to categorize news, so that I can filter news for each module instance so it will only show the categories of news specified.

Furthermore I need these categories only to be shown for specific user roles.

For example I have 3 news module instances. Each contain specific news about an employees' specific job. Another new instance has general news which has to contain the employee specific news as well but not the news from another employees specific job.

The employees are controlled by roles.

Where can I find a module like this? I have looked at http://www.ventrian.com/Products/Modules/NewsArticles.aspx but this cannot filter the news in the general-news instance to contain role based news.

Best regards,

Jonas Agertoft

That's true... but you can filter by user...

I think that's in the enhancement list... its one of the 2 major things I think this module misses... the other one is allowing the admin to send the article has a newsletter..

You could try posting in the Ventrian forums to see if this can be added.  Also, you have the source code if you want to modify it.
