We are about to start the creation of a large scale dotnetnuke site. Large not in terms of numbers of users, but large in terms of number of forms or pages. About 50 aspx pages (ie. custom modules), all with different look and functionality.

My question is do I have to create 1 App_Code project for each module and 1 DesktopModule for each project etc. (50 AppCode Projects each with its own DataProvider etc and 50 DesktopModules each with it own ascx file, resource etc). Is there a better way to design this? Are there any links or case studies on how to design a larger scale DNN site.

Thanks for the help.

I know a number of sites running a large number of modules fine, however a single module might significantly affect site performance if not adhering to programming rules. the more modules you install, the more memory you need.
