I keep getting the following errors when trying to open the skins module. This happens under admin and host user accounts.

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at System.Web.UI.UserControl.get_Request() at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase.get_IsEditable() at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.Title.CanEditModule() at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.Title.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Is this a new build? What version? Did it just start happening?

  • To assist you, we need a little more information - like -
  • Hosted or local
  • New build or upgrade
  • after new skin uploaded or initially

There are lots of reasons why some things don't work but to give some advice we'll need some more information.

Dotnetnuke Version 4.0.2
Installation Local
New build
I have not been able to load that page. so the answer is "initially"

Runnning on Windows Server 2003
Data Provided - SqlDataProvider (SQL 2005 Express)
.Net Framework - 2.0.50727.42

Let me know if you need more info

I too am having this same problem. Except for me it suddenly started after a few months of being just fine. In my case I am using 4.0.3 on Server 2003 ASP 2.0.50727 with SQL Server 2000.

Any thoughts? Here is the error agian.

Make sure the System.Drawing namespace is being imported in that file. I'm not sure why you're getting this error - there is no DotNetNuke.Image class, as far as I know.
