With DNN 5.2.1, when I rename a page, friendly url no longer works with short page name.

Example 01:  A page name Home, when click in the navigation menu, will looking for Home.aspx/spx (doesn't works)

Example 02:  A page name Ho, when click in the navigation menu, will looking for Ho.aspx/.aspx (doesn't works)

Example 03:  A page name Homework, when click in the navigation menu, will looking for Homework.aspx (WORKS!)

Same result after upgrading to 5.2.3. Everything is fine when friendly url builtin option is remove.

Any ideas ?

Are you sure that you aren't just running into a page caching issue in which the new names haven't been added to the cache, and by chance the longer name got added to the cache at the right time?

Hi Chris,

Before writing my post, I do a lot of testing. The problem was present even when a new page with a short name was added. I recycled the ASP process, restarted IIS, restarted the DNN application ... no change.

However, I have GOOD NEWS, the server was restarted last night and ... this morning, everything works great!

I think now that the problem was not related to DotNetNuke.

Thanks for your support.

Luc, one additional thing to try in the future, on the Host/Host Settings page there is a "clear cache" option in the Performance Settings area, that might be worth a shot too if you ever run into this again.
