I generally try to avoid the "Display Module On All Pages" option because it's hard to get it to work exactly the way I intended. Instead, I generally build the Content/Functionality into the skin. But there are times where it's best to use "Display Module on All Pages" and I'm wondering if people have a better solution for a common issue...

Often times, when I use "Display Module On All Pages", I find myself needing to change a setting for the module and I want that change to affect all instances of the module. Currently, in order to affect all instances, I have to do the following:
1.) Uncheck the "Display Module On All Pages" box and update the module.
2.) Empty the Recycle Bin
3.) Make the desired change to the Module Settings.
4.) Recheck the "Display Module on All Pages" box.

It seems like there should be a better way. How do others handle this? Should we submit a Case with a suggested improvement?
