We would obviously tend to agree about these things in general. The disagreement comes in our differing assessment of the state of communications surrounding DNN.
I take this state to be inadequate, where-as I have repeatedly been made to understand by various core team members that it may well be inadequate but it is not for me to say so.
I would like to place this particular thread on the stand as a witness for the prosecution (me). The jury shall note the very first line where it states "I'm an experienced IT professional, (20+ years), .Net vb programmer, etc. and should be able to install DotNetNuke and use it. "
If I had any say in DNN (other than babbeling on forums like this) then, even if I hadn't been through the same dramas myself, I'd still take the guy's word for it, and seek a solution that fulfils his needs.
It's how it would happen in a real business. I don't see why volunteer and open source efforts should not set themselves the same standards.
