greetings nukers --

trying to get this jQuery library working (kwicks):

http://www.jeremymartin.name/projects...

Using his example 2,  a simple example, (from the tabs) i put the html in a DNN text module; i put the css in my skin.css file; and i put the javascript in my skin.ascx file, at the bottom, including a source reference path. I changed all the '$' to 'jQuery', both in the example, and in the kwicks.js file.

The javascript does not seem to be firing. I get the same results when i comment it out.

Can anyone shed some light on my problem other than me being a dumb a$$? I'm sure it's a rookie error but several hours later and nothing...

Thanks community,,,

Did you try to see if the JS is loading? You can use JSview addon for Firefox for that.
Did you enable jQuery correctly in the host settings?

@Yehuda, (thanks for replying)

What's really to set on Host settings?? I was preferring to use the js ver 1.4.2 that is pre-configured. Is there something else i need to be setting? I am using the little 'addthis' javascript at the bottom of my pages for social networking and it works fine.

Also, my Firefox seems to be telling me that the js IS firing...it's just not looking that way in the module. All i am getting is 4 bullets with color bars going the width of the module -- which i get even when i comment out the js in my skin .ascx file.

In DNN 5+ jQuery is included in the framework and you can set it in Host Settings.

Could you provide a link to the site?

@Yehuda, thanks again --

I've got it!!!!

Looks like his documentation wasn't very straightforward. There's a disconnect between his examples on his website and the example that you download. I ASSUMED they were the same, however i just now downloaded his 'archived example' and it is different that what he shows on his site.

Wow. It's cool. Check it out. That's a good library and there are tons more out there like it (Slidedeck being the next one i'm getting).

When you get stuff like this working it saves you some bucks$$ by not having to buy custom modules that do the same thing.

Thank you Yehuda for responding.
