I'd like to implement the feature of reading if an email has been opened or not in th email engine inside DNN? I am thinking of an Image with a special urlstring to it so that you know who has opened the Html email been send ?

Any ideas or ready made modules for this? I preferre open source though ;)

After a few days of study I have decided to implement this so that you can view which user reads which mail you send them. BUT my question is which ID should you use? Is it ok using the classic identifier or do you guys build with the long GUID id?

guid are best for replication scenarios, in all other situations I would stick with incremental integer ids.
