Hello!

I need help to solve the following problem.
My dnn portal has the following problem: Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke\web.config' is denied.

At the login it doesn´s appear the skin and give this error.
To solve the problem i have to cut the web.config and open the site and then paste again.
Then when if i open the site that appears good.

Any idea what is trying to write to your web.config file ? Looks like something to do with active directory here. Disable active directory in extensions if you are not using it.

Anyway ASP.NET is trying to alter web.config and it does not have permissions to do so, if you want this to happen you will need to ask your hosting provider to alter your permissions for this file (or change the permission on your server, please be cautious if/when you do this).

I am quite sure, there are file system permissions missing for the ASP.Net account, which is trying to read some values from web.config - or another server process is preventing access.
