Ok, i know this is stupid question for you,
but i'm from outside usa and the trivial translation for 'moderate'   is not concerned with portals...

What do u mean when u say "to moderate"?
What is the meaning in the context of dnn modules?

moderation is where something is not published publically immeadiately, but goes through a process to be released before e.g. these forums are moderated - if you do not have a sufficent post count your posts go to a moderation queue, so we (the dotnetnuke moderators) can check the message is fine, before releasing it.

Thats leads to the question... how does one become un-moderated? I have 1400 odd posts since 2002 on asp.net if that counts for anything!

we unmoderate people after a certain number of posts, and depending on whether or not those posts have value e.g. if you have 50 posts but they're all thinly veiled adverts for your site/modules, it'll take longer than if you're genuinely helping people. We are unmoderating anyone we recognise from the old asp.net forums that was unmoderated there, but to do so you have to catch a post in the moderation queue. This is your first post I've caught - you're now unmoderated.
