What version of DNN?  Did you create a backup and run this on a test server first?

 DNN 5.6.2

What does running on a test server have to do with getting it working?

Yesterday, I upgraded to 5.6.2 from 5.6.1 and installed the Telerik 6.0 package.  Everything on the site works (including the Telerik Editor Image Manager), but I get the same error reported by JoiseyStud after creating a new post, trying to view a post.  The error occurs in IE9, Firefox 4, and Chrome.  Oddly enough, if I search the forum for a post with a word from the new post, it is found and displayed.

If I try to view the post by clicking its title, then the message contains this sentence: The DataSourceID of '' must be the ID of a control of type IDataSource.  If I click the topic link, I get: The DataSourceID of 'trcRating1' must be the ID of a control of type IDataSource.

Seems to be an issue with the new telerik module and the Core forums module. Joe didnt seem too interested in helping after his initial question of what version I was running. I guess since the core forum is getting replaced in the 6.x release its not a big issue to them. I restored and am just sticking with the status quo until some movement happens on the issue.

if you just face problems with RAD Editor version shipped with DNN 5.6.2 and IE9, switching to CKEditor provider (dnnckeditor.codeplex.com), which already supports latest browsers, might be an option.

Cheers from Germany,
