I rolled back to 5.6.1 also, which eliminated the problems with the Forum 5.0.1 error.  I uninstalled the Telerik 6.0.0 extension.  My 5.6.1 install uses the 5.0.1 Forum.  I also installed the CKEditor.  Is someone going to look into why 5.6.2 kills Forum 5.0.1?

Before I rolled back my site I tried to install the old one over the new one, and of course failed the version check and didnt install.  I then tried to remove the new telerik module but that made the entire site go bad with webconfig items leading to no where, etc/.  I finally gave up because I didnt want the site down too long (even though it was the middle of the night) so I rolled it back to the preupgrade state.

How did you "Un-install" the telerik extension?

I created a copy of the 5.6.1 site before the 5.6.2 upgrade.  So all I had to do was change the "real" directory configured for my virtual directory.

The Telerik module was listed in the Extensions under the Host tab.

And you just uninstalled but the site ran fine afterwards?

Yes.  The uninstall of 6.0.0 brings back the 5.6.x version that was there prior to the installation of 6.0.0.

Lucky you. Didnt happen that way for me. I just immediately got "errors parsing the web.config" as there were many telerik entries pointing to nothing. Did you select "delete files"? What exactly did you uninstall? The provider or the library?
