We have a site done in dnn4 that has recently been upgraded to 5.6.. the latest version. This website is for a musician and we have (not surprisingly) got links to mp3 files that are stored in folders.

There are links to the files using the picture as a hyperlink to the music file.

The new upgrade however now means that these files are invisible and cannot be accessed via the editor using an image as the link. Neither can they be seen using the document link. Even more infuriating one of the links is broken and now cannot be fixed!!!!!!!!

Yes there is a media player link but whats the use of that when the rest of the site uses the image of a guitar to link to the music file?

It really is not good enough that a core feature like this is messed around with and not put right when it is pointed out that it's not working.

I am not the only one that has now got issues with this. There does not appear to be a solution yet despite this issue being raised.

I know the developers do not like being criticised but if they didn't try and fix what is not broken it would not generate irate comments. So please.. is there a fix for this problem?

Well my very helpful hosting company fixed the issue by modifying a webconfig file and restarting the application under 'iis'.

The real issue here though is that this should not be necessary and the fix is not something a mere mortal will know how to put right!
