hey guys,

anyone had problems with live stats and using multiple portals on dnn 3 and dnn 4 ? i can't seem to get it working so there are logs for each site with out installing dnn for every site. i would do this but if i upade modules this will bea problem for me as i will then need to upade all the other modules in all the other sites.

if you can help i would be greatfull

We also use LiveStats and the way we workaround the issue is to create individual IIS sites all pointing to the one install of DNN and use host headers to differentiate between the sites. It does increase the Admin but not as much as having individual installs.
I have also approached Deep Metrix regarding this and was referred to the following FAQ

Basically LiveStats supports directory based sites (eg child portals) but it cannot differentiate based on the host address.
