I administer a DNN site for a K-8 private school where the content is maintained by the school faculty and staff.  It has been fairly successful, thanks in part to a custom module I built for the school to handle all volunteer signup and reporting.  The biggest issue the school has is with the fckeditor, so I am starting a project to evaluate other editors.

Is there a general consensus on the best editor for casual users?  The two biggest complaints the users have now are around image uploading and table editing.  The image editing workflow in fckeditor is pretty non-intuitive, and frankly is a pretty poor user experience for the novice (language like "URL", "browse server" and the formatting of a button for choose file vs a hyperlink for upload new file, and don't even get me started on the way it handles image sizing).  In the course of editing a table it is very easy for the users to really screw up a table by inserting new cells within cells and ending up with malformed html.

I've started using WordPress as a CMS for some clients and am really impressed by how it handles image uploads -- "crunching" it down to a few acceptable sizes and generally making it much easier to manage image uploading and insertion.

This is a big enough problem that the school is willing to spend some money on it if needed.  Before I get into installing and configuring the telerik or other editors, do you have any suggestions or feedback on which editor would best address these issues?
