i host with GoDaddy and have 2 options for Forums - DNN or CommunityServer

My target audience (future users) are familiar with phpBB, vBulletin Forums (Version 3.5 and up) and Invision Power Board (v2.1)

What are the advantages of DNN in comparison with CommServer if any?

What about languages (need Russian, Armenian)? about making Private Categories in the Forum? is it easy to administrate (friendly web interface).

Thanks in advance.

It depends, what you want: DotNetNuke is an OpenSource Application Framework, that let you easily create a number of flexible web sites using from hundreds available modules. Amongst these modules, there are various forum modules, free ones are DotNetNuke Forums (Available on this site for download) or DNNBB, commercial ones are Active Forums, have a look at www.snowcovered.com for a complete list.

Talligent's CommunityServer has a free Express Edition, all other versions are commercial and cost up to 9,999$ per Server.

If you only need a forums site, Community Server might be best for you, If you need other functions as well, join the DotNetNuke community.
