I have 800+ regular users who, to hear them talk, each has a different OS, different browser and for those of them that know the difference, different plug-ins in their browsers.  My most consistent complaint is that they doon't see the "drop-dopwns",  meaning the sub-menus from the Menu bar Tabs across the core portal (5.6.3).  I also have amodule admin who doesn't see the littel triangles at the extremem left of the module so they can't get to that drop dwon either.

My question is what is it they don't have, client side, that they need?  It doesn't appear to be Java, but could it be the "framework" stuff?  And can a Mac or Linux user download that to run in their background if the framework is the issue?  I have a user running Win7 Pro, with the latest IE all of it "current" with high-priority updates through MSUpdate whom I just spoke to.  He doesn't know what "optional" software he may or may not have donwloaded from the MS Update site.

Thanks for any guidance on this.  I usually hear more complaints form my Mac/Safari or Linux users, but this one guy is a module admin for my site's FAQs and I really need to get him fully functional.
