I am surprised no one has copied Sitefinity's easy drag and drop admin interface for creating pages. It is a world of difference and really allows for non-technical people to use the system with ease. I wanted to recreate this widget drag and drop effect in DotNetNuke: http://templatebuilder.sitefinity.com

I am not sure where to start. Can anyone help with this or know of any projects working on this?

DotNetNuke supported drag and drop modules from about version 3.0 but it was never used a whole lot (it was a little slow due to the nature of the ajax) - i expect we'll return to it at some point and as jqueryui is built in it wouldnt suprise me if we used it's draggable support (http://jqueryui.com/demos/draggable/)
