Hi there,

we use DNN 560 and I checked the hosted / jquery settings and I see the following settings as param (see below).
I would like to use Jquery's latest versoin which is 1.6.2.   My question is  If I change the the hsoted parm below to  http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/...

will it work? Do I need to do anything else start/stop restart etc?

I also want to download the jquery UI versions... but where and which folder do I need put and these min.js files?  e.g. jquery.ui.* and jquery.effects.*  etc...

I don't want to put it in everymodule... Is there a central place?

so I've asked 2 questiosn above :)

Installed jQuery Version:  1.4.2
Use jQuery Debug Version?
Use Hosted jQuery Version?    CHECKED
Hosted jQuery URL:  http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/...

you can change the jquery version via the host UI - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/jQuery-host-settings.aspx . As for jqueryui you will have to include it yourself, and it doesnt matter where in the filesystem it us. Note: if you upgrade to 6.0 it's a part of the default install - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/EntryId/3136/DotNetNuke-6-jQuery-jQuery-UI-and-New-jQuery-Plugins.aspx

DNN stores its local versions of jquery in the /js/ folder - IN THEORY - you should be able to update the jquery libraries in this folder with the latest versions - and this is also where i would store the jquery.ui files as well.

In theory jquery is backward compatible - so any existing jquery code in dnn should continue to work - HOWEVER if you do upgrade your dnn site - be aware that the upgrade my revert you back to a previous version.

I downloaded the version jquery-1.6.2.min.js in \js\ folder. but How do I know that this 1-6-2 is used?
Do I need to drop the all js files e.g. UI-js also here?   Do I need to refer in ascx pages to this place one by one?
