So, I just upgraded to 6.1 and my site renders just fine.  When I login though the admin view is terrible in IE8 and IE9.  It is a little better in 9, but still bad.  There is misaligned text, odd lines everywhere and the manage button on modules is odd.  When I run in firefox it looks just great.

What gives?  Is this just me or was there a decsion made to not support IE properly anymore?

are you on default skin? if you used the same domain name for a previous version before, you should clear local browser cache or use ctrl-F5 to refresh all files - otherwise old css files might been cached.

I cleared my cache and did the ctrl-F5 neither seemed to change anything. It is not the default skin. It is one I purchaed a few years ago and has worked great in DNN 5.x. I'm just a bit surprised that everyting seems to work in FireFox and not in IE. If others do not see this or have and IE issue, then I guess it is somethign strange in my enviroment....

I suggest contacting the skin developer for an upgrade of the skin.

Hi

Most of the dnn5 to dnn6 skins I get asked to look into is all z-index based or the admin menu does not behave because of a reset.css that gives issues. I fix most by using another controlpanel from oliverhine.com the new dnn6 version i am beta testing should be out soon.

Another issue I run into with my existing skins a lot is that the admin menu controlpanel does not hide its submenu and for that I have a simple jquery solution you can add to your skin  http://jsfiddle.net/nokiko/gLzTm/

If you have a live url to check out maybe we can help more
