I am running on a brand new virgin install of 06.01.04 (127) this bug is still there. Just wasted a couple hours on it.

Best wishes,

Are you sure you set both connection strings ? Please double check the physical permissions on your files and folders, and don't forgot to inherit the permissions to all subfolders of your DNN root folder.

Rob,

I started to add the code to the user.ascx file, but chickened out because I wasn't sure exactly where (which line or div) to paste in the added code.  Can you describe where it should go?

Best,
Tom

Matthias - it is not related to permissions:

- register with a short password. Nothing happens

- register with a long password.  It works.

Best wishes,
